Event Details
The Northeast Tech Bridge and NUWC Newport, in partnership with 401 Tech Bridge, the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and NavalX, has issued a multi-phased Prize Challenge!
The Prize Challenge focuses on (4) four technical focus areas, to identify solutions to monitor and protect undersea critical infrastructure.
The challenge is OPEN and has a deadline of 11:59 PM (EDT) on April 14, 2025.
Companies who apply into the challenge, will be evaluated to participate in the coordinating technical demonstration.
Companies with top-scoring technologies selected through evaluation at the demonstration, will receive up to a $7500 award with an invitation to compete at BlueTIDE2025 on 28 August in Newport.
At BlueTIDE2025, selected companies will then compete in a Critical Infrastructure Protection Mission on 28 August in Newport, where up to four companies with top-scoring technologies will be award a total of $200,000 in award funding.
The technology focus areas are:
- Autonomous Undersea and Surface Vehicles (AUV / ASV)
- Mobile and stationary Sensors
- Resilient Undersea and Cross-Domain Communications
- High Resolution Undersea Imaging
Participants may be individuals or teams comprised of small businesses and/or academic organizations.
Applicants must submit as a team if choosing to do so, and applicants are eligible to apply into more than technology area.
