Coastal Monitoring field support Cape Breton see more

    Closes on March 31, 2027

The Centre for Marine Applied Research is actively engaged in the deployment, retrieval, and maintenance of oceanographic equipment in the coastal waters of Nova Scotia. The data from these instruments is being collected with the intention of supporting science-based decision-making for the sustainable development of our coastal resources. Currently, CMAR maintains approximately 70 deployed subsurface sensor stations in Nova Scotia’s coastal waters through the Coastal Monitoring Program. The stations are positioned along the coast of Nova Scotia, from the Annapolis Basin to the Northumberland Strait, typically within 200m to 1000m of shore, and in depths up to 75m. CMAR is seeking marine field support for the Coastal Monitoring Program at select locations in Cape Breton.
