The Canadian Marine Industries and Shipbuilding Association (CMISA) marked another standout year at the Mari-Tech Conference and Exhibition, this time hosted in the vibrant city of Montreal. The CMISA booth was buzzing with activity throughout the event, drawing a steady stream of attendees from across the marine sector.
This year, CMISA was pleased to offer branded lapel pins, chapsticks, and luggage handles—small tokens that helped spark conversations and added a friendly, personal touch to interactions. These giveaways proved popular with both returning members and first-time visitors, adding to the booth’s appeal and visibility on the busy tradeshow floor.
Beyond the giveaways, the real highlight was the opportunity to engage face-to-face with many of our valued members and to build new relationships within the marine and shipbuilding community. The booth became a central meeting spot for productive conversations, fresh introductions, and strengthened partnerships.
"We were thrilled with the turnout and the energy at Mari-Tech this year," said John Schmidt, the Chairman at CMISA. "Montreal was a fantastic host, and we’re grateful for the many meaningful connections we made throughout the show."
As CMISA continues to grow its national presence and advocacy work, events like Mari-Tech remain critical touchpoints for industry collaboration. The Association looks forward to building on the momentum from this year’s show as it supports innovation, talent, and sustainability across Canada’s marine sector.
